Venus makes pass at the Sun: Astronomers ogle first transit since 1882.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2004 the planet Venus will appear to cross the surface of the sun. Good news for those of us on the East Coast of the US.... At sunrise we will be able to watch the transit in progress. Don't look directly at the Sun, check out the article in Nature on how to view the event safely.
