Historical markers in Oconee County. Dyana Daniels learns about an effort to place historical markers throughout the area to commemorate the Cherokee heritage of the county. She learns about a marker to be dedicated on August 12 from Luther Lyle, vice president of the board of directors of the Oconee Heritage Center, a teacher at Riverside Middle School in Pendleton, and chairman of the Oconee Arts and Historical Commission, 415 Pine Street, Walhalla, SC 29691.
